Gov. Blunt-Romney trip has presidential overtones

"Asked whether there was anything burgeoning between the two, who traveled together earlier this year to Iraq, and who met privately several times earlier this summer when Romney hosted a Republican Governors Association meeting in Boston, Romney said: 'We're just very good friends, and he is the incoming vice chairman of the Republican Governors Association, so I spend a great deal of time with him.' Romney is chairman of the association, which is trying to elect Republicans in this fall's 36 gubernatorial races."
