Boston.com | Romney softens tone on gay marriage
As Governor Romney visits Michigan, his stance on stance on gay marriage is now less abrasive. He also warned those in attendance that America should beware the Asian powerhouse China - ''We did not shed our blood on the battlefield of liberty to lose on the battlefield of jobs and the economy." Romney seems to be softening his conservative tone, apparently to maintain his appeal in liberal Massachusetts.
